Citrus and Dried Plum Compote with Chocolate Drizzle

From Dorothy McNett's recipes at Serve about 4-6.

1 orange
1 grapefruit
1 cup dried prunes, pitted
1/3 cup water
pinch of sea salt

1 cup dark chocolate chips
2 tablespoons half and half
1 tablespoon sherry or marsala, if desired

Wash the orange and grapefruit and remove the zest. Peel remaining flesh off of fruit and slice the segments, removing any seeds. In batter bowl, combine the sliced fruits, the zest, the dried prunes, water and salt. Cover with a glass or ceramic plate. Cook in the microwave 4-5 minutes. Stir well and allow to cool. When ready to serve, place fruit mixture into serving bowls. Set aside. In a 2 cup glass measuring cup, combine chocolate, half and half and sherry. Microwave 1 minute. Stir well for about a minute or so to blend into a smooth mixture. Slowly drizzle over the compotes and serve. You will have more drizzle than you need, just allow it to cool in the cup and then it can be scooped out to use as desired!
