Stuffed Avocado with Tortilla Chips

From Dorothy McNett's recipes at

2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
1/4 cup finely chopped tomato
1/4 cup finely chopped cucumber
1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper
1/2 - 1 teaspoon chile powder, as desired
zest of lemon
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
1-2 avocado
lettuce for the serving platter
tortilla chips for dipping

In bowl combine the finely chopped onion, tomato, cucumber, bell pepper, chile powder, zest of the lemon and about 2 teaspoons of the juice. Slice avocado in half, remove pit. Using a tablespoon, remove the avocado from the peelings. Arrange on lettuce lined serving plates, fill with the vegetable mixture and serve with tortilla chips for dipping.
