Dark Chocolate World Wide Hearts to Love

From Dorothy McNett's recipes at www.dorothymcnett.com. Make individual small hearts to serve as a nice side to other desserts, etc. Or, make one large heart for a grand presentation.

1 pkg. (12 oz.) dark chocolate chips
1/4 cup dried cranberries, or currants, or other dried fruit
whipped cream or mascarpone cheese, as desired for garnish

Dump the package of chocolate chips into a glass or ceramic bowl. Place in microwave for 1 minute. Stir very well. Heat 1 minute more, stir well. The chocolate should be mostly melted, if not continue to stir, or add another 20-30 seconds but do not overheat. When nicely melted, blend in the cranberries. Pour out onto a parchment or silicone lined baking sheet. Spread into a heart shape about 1/4 inch thick. Allow to cool completely and then carefully lift it onto a beautiful serving plate or wooden board. Decorate with whipped cream or mascarpone cheese, garnishing with more dried cranberries or other fruits, nuts, candies as desired...
