Makes about 18 candies, and can be easily doubled if you wish to make more. 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips Place the chocolate chips and sour cream in a glass measuring cup. Melt for 1 minute in the microwave. Stir until nice and smooth and all of the chocolate has melted. Using your kitchen shears, cut the lady fingers into slices about 1/2 inch thick. Place a sheet of waxed paper on a platter or baking sheet. Using a teaspoon, spoon the chocolate onto the waxed paper making rounded drops about 1 inch. Allow to stand about 1 hour to firm up. They may still be a bit soft, but should be able to remove them from the paper and place them on top of the sliced lady fingers. Allow to stand another hour or so. Can be made several hours or even 1 day in advance. Do not refrigerate. Recipe created 2013-05-07. © 1996-2013 Dorothy McNett. All Rights Reserved. |
