Hemp Seed Crackers

From Dorothy McNett's recipes at www.dorothymcnett.com. Serve with cheeses and/or dips, or just eat with a nice green salad.

1 cup all purpose unbleached flour
2-3 tablespoons hemp seeds
1/2 teaspoon semi-coarse sea salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1/4 cup cold unsalted butter OR solid coconut oil
2 tablespoons black olive paste
3 tablespoons very cold water

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with a silicone baking mat, or use any baking sheet ungreased. In food processor with steel chopping blade in place, whirl the flour, hemp seeds, sea salt, baking powder and pepper to blend well. Add the butter or coconut oil and the olive paste. Pulse just to blend and then add the cold water and just whirl to blend. Sprinkle a pastry cloth with flour. With floured hands, knead the dough a few seconds and shape into a ball. Roll out about 1/8 inch thick or so. Cut as desired into shapes. Place on baking sheet. Bake 10-14 minutes, or until done and crispy. Cool.
