Nam Prik Dipping Sauce

From Dorothy McNett's Recipe Book at (dipping sauce for vegetables, eggs, etc.)

2 tablespoons dried shrimps
4 cloves garlic
2 teaspoons ground chilies or 1/4-1/2 teaspoon dried red or Thai seasoning
2 teaspoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 tablespoons water

Wash shrimps and soak in hot water 20 minutes. Rinse and combine all ingredients in food processor and process until smooth. Arrange fresh vegetables, wedges of hard cooked eggs, and other finger foods on platter for dipping.
