If you cannot find/get oblaten, just spread the batter into the oiled pan. The oblaten is a type of crispy wafer, similar to communion wafers! 4 cups unbleached all purpose flour Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly butter or oil a 15 by 10 inch baking dish or pan. If you have oblaten, place a layer of it in the pan. Set aside. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, nutmeg, anise and cinnamon. Set aside. In another bowl, whisk together the honey, cold coffee, cream, Kirsch and sugar. Blend in the flour mixture and beat until smooth. The dough will be sticky. Scrape the dough into the baking pan, (over top of the oblaten if you are using it) spreading evenly. It will be about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick. Bake 35-40 minutes. Allow to cool and cut into bars.
