From Dorothy McNett's recipes at www.dorothymcnett.com. Select 2-3 semi-firm cheeses. Cut and arrange. If figs are fresh, slice some in half and serve. Dried figs are delicious also with almonds and cheeses.
In Brazil this would be called Romeu e Julieta, featuring guava paste and local cheeses. Create!

Cheddar, Manchego, Dubliner Kerrygold from Ireland......etc. etc. etc.
Monterey Jack cheese
Quince paste or Guava paste
Raw Almonds
Figs, Dates etc.

Cut the cheese into bite-sized pieces and then dollop just a bit of quince paste over each slice. Arrange on a platter along with the remaining cheeses, almonds, figs, dates, etc.
