FRESH!!! 1-2 salmon steaks or fillets Sprinkle the fish with herbs, salt and pepper. Heat a heavy bottomed skillet, add butter or oil. When nice and hot but not smoking hot, saute the fish about 2-3 minutes on each side, depending on the thickness of the fish and how you like it done.
