O' Live with Olives and Cheese!

From Dorothy McNett's recipes at www.dorothymcnett.com. A great sauce/salsa to serve over and with cheeses and as a side sauce for grilled main dishes, etc. To bake the cream cheese, remove from wrapper and place on an oven safe glass or ceramic plate. Bake at 325 degrees for about 30 minutes.

2-3 cloves garlic, or more
1 cup (about 8 oz.) pitted olives, black or green
2 tablespoons drained capers
3-6 leaves fresh basil, or parsley (about 1/2 cup)
zest and juice of 1 lemon
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
salt and pepper, as desired (depends on the olives)
8 oz. package cream cheese

In food processor with motor running drop in the peeled cloves of garlic to mince them finally. Add the olives, capers, basil or parsley, zest, juice and olive oil. Pulse just to chop nicely and to leave the olives finely minced. Pour over the Baked Cream Cheese, or use other cheeses as desired. Oh, live!
