Sleepy Jasmine Rice
From Dorothy McNett's recipes at www.dorothymcnett.com. Start off your week with the "in" foods for health and happiness! Jasmine rice is supposedly good for better sleeping, tumeric and garlic and oregano for all around better health, etc.!
1 cup jasmine rice, or other rice as desired
Combine all ingredients in your rice cooker, or steam in a stock pot. Here is a wonderful method for cooking rice: Combine all ingredients in a glass or ceramic batter bowl or covered casserole dish. Cover with a glass or ceramic lid (NO PLASTIC!!!) and cook on high in microwave for 5 minutes, then on 1/2 power (power level 5) for 14-15 minutes. Allow to stand, covered, for about 5 - 10 minutes and serve.
