I am using Huntsman cheese, which is a mix of cheddar and blue cheese, but you can use any semi-firm cheese such as cheddar or swiss as desired. 1 cup Huntsman cheese, grated Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Lightly oil a baking sheet, or place a silicone mat on it and then no need to oil. Set aside. Grate the cheese and set aside. In food processor with steel chopping blade in place, whirl the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt to blend well. Cut the butter into 4 pieces and put into the processor and pulse a few seconds to cut the butter into small marble sized pieces. Add the egg, milk and grated cheese and just process until the dough forms into a rough ball. Shape the dough into about 12 biscuit shapes and place on the baking sheet. Bake 14-16 minutes or until nicely browned. Serve immediately! Recipe created 2015-01-12. © 1996-2013 Dorothy McNett. All Rights Reserved. |
