Maine "Baked" Beans
From Dorothy McNett's recipes at www.dorothymcnett.com. Cook up some beans from scratch if youu have the time to do that. Otherwise, throw this one together and heat it a cast iron skillet. Not exactly like the traditional "bean hole beans".
1 box (13 oz.) of already cooked, no salt added kidney beans
1 tablespoon catsup
1 tablespoon horseradish mustard
1 tablespoon molasses or sorghum
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
freshly ground pepper
Combine all ingredients in cast iron skillet, or other heavy bottomed saute pan. Heat gently, stirring often, for about 10 - 15 minutes or more or until hot and flavorful. Serve.
