3 tablespoons soy sauce
In heavy bottomed saucepan, combine soy sauce, mirin, sugar, garlic and ginger. Bring to a boil. In meantime, in a small bowl whisk the cornstarch with the water. When mixture is boiling, whisk in the cornstarch mixture, stir and cook until thickened up. Serve hot, warm or cold.
