Dutch FrikandelFrom Dorothy McNett's recipes at www.dorothymcnett.com. Serve with french fries with mayo and lots of curry ketchup. 1 pound ground pork Mix pork with onion, garlic, mashed potatoes, egg,pepper, salt and nutmeg together and shape into long rolls like a hotdog. If you are going to deep-fry them, heat enough oil in a heavy bottomed pan to have them submerged. You can also saute them in a pan with enough oil to cover the bottom. Either way, cook until nicely browned and done throughout. To serve, place them on a plate and surround with french fries. Slice the frikandel lengthwise but not all the way through but just so it opens up and then slather with curry ketchup and diced onions. Recipe created 2015-07-13. © 1996-2013 Dorothy McNett.
