From Dorothy McNett's recipes at www.dorothymcnett.com. Just a hint of finely cut up broccoli is cooked with tthe quinoa for a very special subtle flavor. This is nice served with grilled steak and Brown Sauce.
1 cup quinoa
In glass or ceramic batter bowl combine all ingredients and cover with a glass or ceramic plate. (Never use plastic!) Cook in microwave 5 minutes on full power, and then cook 15 minutes on half power (power level 5) or until all water is absorbed. Or, you can cook this on the burner in a saucepan by bringing the mixture to a boil, reduce to a simmer, cover, and cook about 15 minutes.
