Little Potatoes in Butter Seasoning
From Dorothy McNett's recipes at www.dorothymcnett.com. With the hot spices, this is wonderful paired with Zinfandel. Just wash the potatoes well, do not peel. Use the smallest ones available, and use a variety if available.
8-10 little white or red potatoes
Wash and place potatoes in glass or ceramic batter bowl. Cook in microwave, using 5 minutes per pound as a guide. When done, add butter and seasonings and roll potatoes in this. To serve, arrange seasoned potatoes on a beautiful platter and serve with toothpicks. Have sour cream in a bowl, and also olive oil in another one and let guests dip potatoes. For a wine tasting, provide 3 different olive oils to see what happens to the taste buds as you work your way into the Zinfandel.
