Scrub the potatoes and peel them if needed. Slice them into long slices like French Fries. Peel and then cut the garlic cloves in half lengthwise. Scatter potatoes and garlic over a baking sheet with sides, tossing in the oil, sprinkles of salt and pepper. Bake about 25 - 35 minutes, stirring them at least once.
