Chocolate Seeded Treats for 2016

From Dorothy McNett's recipes at www.dorothymcnett.com. Sounds like this year, 2016, is going to feature a lot of seeds as nutritional foods! GREAT! This has been a favorite of mine for many years...

2 tablespoons hemp seeds
2 tablespoons flax seeds
2 teaspoons chia seeds
1/2 cup slivered almonds
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

In food processor with steel chopping blade in place, combine seeds, nuts and cocoa powder and pulse to chop fairly fine. With motor running add the syrup and vanilla and blend to make a paste. Using a teaspoon or tablespoon shape into balls and place on waxed paper and allow to stand about 30 minutes or more. Arrange on a beautiful platter and serve as a snack, as a dessert, as a breakfast side dish, etc. etc. etc.
