Baked Cream Cheese

From Dorothy McNett's recipes at

1 pkg (8 oz.) cream cheese
1/2 cup or so of freshly made apricot jam (see recipe), or other toppings as desired
crackers or bread slices for serving
pear or apple slices for serving

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Remove cheese from the foil and place the cheese on an oven safe glass or ceramic plate or a Pyrex pie plate. Bake 30 - 35 minutes. The cheese will not melt but it will take on a little bit of brown color. Remove from oven, keep it on the plate and allow to cool completely or serve it slightly warm. When ready to serve, pile on the jam. Serve with bread slices or crackers for spreading along with some pear and / or apple slices if desired.
