Figs Stuffed with Sem-Soft Cheese

From Dorothy McNett's recipes at Use any nice semi-soft cheese...add to your appetizer cheese platter.

10 - 15 dried Black Mission or Calimyrna Figs, or both
1 - 2 tablespoons port wine
semi-soft cheese, such as Camembert, Formaggio Lagorai, or blue cheeses, or cream cheese, etc..

Put the figs in a bowl and toss in some port wine and allow to stand several hours for the port to be absorbed. Cut a slit into each fig and tuck a small piece of cheese into it. Arrange on cheese platter and serve.
