See Also: Candies · Cooking Club · Desserts Hazelnut Truffle CandiesFrom Dorothy McNett's recipes at www.dorothymcnett.com. 1 1/2 cups raw hazelnuts In food processor with steel chopping blade in place, grind the nuts to a powder like consistency. Remove 1/2 cup and set it aside. In remaining nut mixture in processor, add the cocoa power, pitted dates and water or juice. Process to make a dough like mixture. With your hands, shape into about 12 or so round truffles and roll each in the remaining nut mixture. Sprinkle tops with just a few grains of the semi-coarse sea salt.
