Curried Avocado Appetizers

From Dorothy McNett's recipes at

small baby tomatoes
slices of French bread or crispy crackers, or both
1 nice ripe avocado
1 - 2 small green onions, finely diced
zest of 1 lemon
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 teaspoon curry powder
1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon chili powder

Prepare the tomatoes by removing the stems and either cutting in half or poking a hole into each to hold the filling. In a bowl mash the avocado, adding the diced green onion, zest and juce of the lemon, salt, curry powder and chili powder. Correct seasoning to your taste. Stuff each tomato with the filling and arrange on a serving platter with the bread or crackers. If tomatoes are small, simply spread the filling over the cracker or bread slice and place the tomato on top!
