Pasta Sauce with Pine Nuts and Walnuts
From Dorothy McNett's recipes at www.dorothymcnett.com. A wonderful blending of flavors to serve over any shape pastas, or rice, or quinoa, or let it cool and use as a great salad dressing over a bowlful of crisp greens, etc.
1 cup walnuts
In food processor with steel chopping blade in place, chop the walnuts, pine nuts and garlic cloves to make a coarse paste. Whirl in the oregano. In a heavy bottomed skillet, heat the olive oil and then stir in the nut mixture along with the raisins, salt and pepper. Cook about 4 - 5 minutes to blend flavors and to get it nice and hot. Pour it over the pasta and garnish with cheeses as desired.
