African Berbere Sauce
From Dorothy McNett's recipes at www.dorothymcnett.com. Much like any barbeque sauce or other spicy sauce used with meats, sandwiches, and more!
1 clove garlic
In food processor or blender first grate finely the garlic and onion and then add the remaining ingredients and blend to make a thick smooth mixture. Transfer to a skillet and heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, for about 3 minute or so, being careful not to let it burn on the bottom. Transfer to a bowl and drizzle on a few more drops of olive oil. It is ready to use right now, and refrigerate any unused amounts to use within a week or so.
