San Francisco Crostini

From Dorothy McNett's recipes at www.dorothymcnett.com. Not made with bread crostini slices, but with crispy salami slices! A great street food snack, or an elegant dinner party appetizer.

about 24 slices of dry Italian salami
12 baby tomatoes, cut in half
fresh basil leaves
a selection of California cheeses

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Slice salami fairly thin or use pre-sliced salami. Place slices out flat (not touching one another) on a silicone or parchment lined baking sheet. Bake 12 - 15 minutes or until crispy. In a bowl finely snip the basil and gently toss in the tomato halves. Place a small amount of the tomato basil mixture on each salami piece and serve with some nice cheeses, etc.
