Pasta with Mushroom Sauce

From Dorothy McNett's Recipe Book at

2 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
6-7 tablespoons olive oil or 6 tablespoons butter
3/4 lb. mushrooms, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup or so of cream or oil

Cooked pasta to serve 4 people

Gently sauté garlic in oil or butter until it starts to color. Add mushrooms, salt and pepper. Cook slowly until mixture softens and darkens; this may take up to 15 minutes. Take care that it does not burn. Add enough whipping cream or oil to make a thick sauce. Add pasta and toss together.
Makes 4 servings.
