Baked Cheese and Tomato Sauce Appetizer

From Dorothy McNett's recipes at Bake this and eat it right away using bread slices or crackers.

1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
1 cup good quality tomato or pizza sauce
about 3/4 pound mozzarella cheese, or use fontina, etc.
bread slices or cubes

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Lightly brush some olive oil into a 9 by 13 inch baking dish. Pour half of the tomato sauce into the dish. Slice the cheese into slices about 1/2 inch thick. Arrange the cheese slices over the sauce and pour on the remaining sauce to cover the cheese. Bake about 8 - 10 minutes, or until cheese is melting. Serve immediately with bread slices.
