Also nice over vanilla ice cream! Or, just eat it! 1/4 cup raw sugar In heavy bottomed saucepan, whisk together the sugar, cornstarch and salt. Drain and measure out the syrup from the lychees, having 1 cup syrup, adding water or other fruit juices if necesary to make the 1 cup of liquid. Whisk the syrup, butter and candied ginger in and cook and stir over medium high heat until sauce bubbles and thickens (about 2 minutes).
