Celeriac and Peas for Edward Lear

1 1/4 pounds celeriac (celery root)
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1 shallot,chopped
2 cups fresh or frozen petite green peas
1/2 teaspoon celery seeds
1/4 teaspoon sea salt

Cut the celeriac into 1/2 inch pieces and place in glass batter bowl, cover with a plate and cook in microwave 3 - 4 minutes. (OR, steam in a saucepan with about 1/2 cup water for about 8 minutes.) In heavy bottomed skillet melt the butter and then stir in the chopped shallot and cook about 2 minutes and then add the celeriac and peas and celery seeds and salt. Cook and stir several minutes and serve!
