Ham Appetizers

From Dorothy McNett's Recipe Book at www.dorothymcnett.com.

1 medium onion, chopped
2 pounds cooked ham, chopped in processor
1 cup fine dry bread crumbs, or use seasoned crouton mix
2 tablespoons prepared mustard
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon marjoram
1 (12 oz.) bottle chili sauce
1 (10 oz.) jar apple jelly
1 teaspoon horseradish, if desired

Microwave onion on High, covered, for 3 minutes. Combine onion, ham, bread crumbs, mustard, pepper, and marjoram. Shape into balls and place on plate, using more crumbs, if needed, to hold their shape. Sprinkle with pepper, if desired. Microwave each plate, about 12-18 meatballs, 2-4 minutes, or until heated and firm. Combine chili sauce, apple jelly, and horseradish in batter bowl. Microwave 3 minutes. Stir. Microwave another 3 minutes, or until jelly melts. Arrange meatballs on serving platter and pour sauce over. Serve with toothpicks or small plates and small forks.
