Fresh Fruit and Cheese

From Dorothy McNett's recipes at For an appetizer if served with bread slices, or for a dessert served with cookies or my recipe for Peanutties.

1/2 cup walnuts
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1 tablespoon orange juice or orange flavored liqueur
a nice wedge of Brie
fresh strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, kiwi or whatever is available
other chunks of cheeses cut for finger foods

Place walnuts and butter in glass measuring cup. Cook in microwave on high for 1-2 minutes, or until walnuts are just beginning to brown. Add the juice or liqueur and stir. Pour this over the wedge of Brie, and then arrange everything nicely on a beautiful platter. Serve with sliced baguettes, or with crispy cookies or candies for a casual tasty dessert.
