Cake Sauce or Salad Dressing

From Dorothy McNett's Recipe Book at Drizzle over cakes, brownies, tarts, or use cold as a salad dressing over greens with sliced pears, nuts, cheeses and etc.

1 egg
1/2 cup water
1 cup crystalline brown sugar (Sugar in the Raw)
1/4 cup melted unsalted butter
pinch of fine sea salt
1/4 cup white vinegar or lemon juice, or brandy or rum
1 tablespoon vanilla or vanilla bean paste

In glass or ceramic batter bowl, whisk egg and then add water, whisk well. Add remaining ingredients. Microwave on high 2 minutes. Whisk. Microwave 2 minutes. Whisk. Serve hot or cold.
