Cooked Cereal

From Dorothy McNett's recipes at

1/2 teaspoon salt, optional
3 cups water
3/4 cup farina or cream of wheat, or 1 1/3 cups oatmeal
yogurt, honey or raw sugar for serving

Combine salt, water, and cereal in a class or ceramic batter bowl or casserole. Cook in microwave for 2 minutes. Stir. Cook an additional 2-3 minutes, or until all the liquid is absorbed. When done, serve with strained yogurt with a little brown raw sugar or honey for a nice taste sensation.
