Cheese Mushroom Appetizer
From Dorothy McNett's recipes at www.dorothymcnett.com. Use any pesto sauce or salsa, or bbq sauce, or whatever you may have in the refrigerator! Each time they take on a different taste and look, making them a perfect appetizer to make whenever needed!!!
medium sized mushroom caps
Carefully wash and brush the mushrooms, removing the stems and reserving for another use. Place caps on a paper towel lined glass or ceramic plate and put a piece of cheese in each. Just before serving, drizzle some sauce over the cheese. Heat in microwave (about 12 mushrooms) for 2-3 minutes just to warm them and not to cook too much. Garnish the tops with chopped parsley, and serve. Great served right now or at room temperature.
