Strawberry Coulis

From Dorothy McNett's Recipe Book at

2 cups fresh strawberries, stems removed
1-2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
2-3 tablespoons sugar

In food processor fitted with the metal blade, combine the strawberries and the lemon juice to puree. Strain through a sieve and stir in the sugar to taste. Spread a little of this over the bottom of the bowl or plate before scooping on the ice cream.
