Halloween Punch

1 quart apple juice or cider
2 tablespoons mulled wine and cider spice (cinnamon chips, orange rind, whole cloves, whole allspice, orange oil, and cinnamon oil)
1 apple, cored and sliced into rings
1 lemon
zest of the lemon and the zest of an orange
1 orange, studded with whole cloves

Combine apple juice or cider and mulling spices in a large batter bowl. Microwave on high for 10 minutes, then on half power for 20-30 minutes. In meantime, slice apples and brush with the lemon juice to prevent darkening. Stud the orange with the whole cloves, and when ready to serve, pour the hot juice over the fruits in a punch bowl.
