San Benito Candy

From Dorothy McNett's Recipe Book at www.dorothymcnett.com. Here we are using two of San Benito County's fabulous products, apricots and walnuts

1 pound Milk Chocolate
24 dried apricots
24 walnut or almond halves
1/2 pound white or dark chocolate

Microwave the 1 pound chocolate in a batter bowl on High power for 1 minute. Stir. Microwave another 20-30 seconds, and then stir to finish the melting. In the meantime, flatten each apricot half slightly, and then wrap it around a walnut or almond piece. Dip each one into the melted chocolate, and place on waxed paper to harden. Melt the remaining chocolate and after the first coating has set, re-dip each one into the contrasting chocolate.
