Stuffing with Sage

From Dorothy McNett's Recipe Book at Enough for a 12-14 pound turkey.

1/2 cup butter
1 onion, chopped
1 apple, chopped
1 stalk celery, chopped
2 cloves garlic (or more!)
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon Zip or cayenne
4 cups dried bread cubes, or 1 package prepared stuffing mix
1/2 cup chicken or turkey broth
1/2 cup chopped fresh sage or 2 tablespoons dried sage

In batter bowl, combine butter, vegetables and apple. Cover. Microwave on High 5 minutes. Blend in bread cubes, broth and herbs.
