ApplesauceFrom Dorothy McNett's recipes at www.dorothymcnett.com. Add about 1/4 teaspoon dried chipotle chile pepper, or fresh grindings of black or white pepper for a special twist. 3-4 apples, cored (peel if desired, not necessary) Cut apples into chunks and place in batter bowl. Stir in sugar and cinnamon. Cover. Microwave on high for 8-10 minutes, or until apples are tender. Cool slightly, and mash with a fork or use the food processor if you like a pureed sauce.
