Cinnamon Apple Rings

From Dorothy McNett's recipes at www.dorothymcnett.com. Use any chocolate that you wish. I prefer to use dark chocolate, but these are also very attractive with milk or white chocolate.

10 oz. pkg dark chocolate, (chips or squares) or use white or milk if you desire
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 - 3 fresh apples, unpeeled but cored and sliced into 1/4 inch rounds
sprinkles of black sea salt, if desired

Place the chocolate in a glass or ceramic bowl or measuring cup. Melt in microwave 1 minute. Stir. Add 10-15 seconds more if needed to finish melting. Stir in the cinnamon. Pat each apple slice with paper towels and dip into chocolate mixture. Place on waxed paper lined baking sheet. Sprinkle each with a few grains of salt, if desired. Set aside to cool and to set up, which may take an hour or more. Serve within a few hours of making these, as they can get juicy.
