Onion Shells for Stuffing

Remove skins from onions and place in glass or ceramic dish with lid. Microwave on high, covered, using 2 minutes per onion as a guide. Allow to cool until easy to handle. Remove the centers and chop them to add to the mixture you are putting back into the onions, such as a chopped tomato, basil, and cheese salad.
