Window Cookies

Use a good quality sugar cookie recipe, and roll out on a floured surface to 1/8 inch thickness. Cut with cookie cutters of graduated sizes. Assemble them, using some jam to spread in between. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar when cool. If you use a variety of colored jams, a plate of these will look very festive and like stained glass windows.
