From Dorothy McNett's recipes at www.dorothymcnett.com. Rhubarb (AKA pie plant) is a vegetable which usually gets served as a dessert. But add some fresh strawberries, perhaps a little chili pepper and serve this as a great sauce with roast pork. Also, about 1 tablespoon crystallized ginger is a great addition!

3-4 stalks fresh rhubarb
1/2 to 1 cup sugar

Wash and cut rhubarb into 1 inch chunks. Place in batter bowl. Add 1/2 cup sugar, berries, ginger and etc if using. Cover. Cook in microwave 5 minutes. Stir. Taste to see if you need more sugar or honey, adding if needed. Cook another 2-3 minutes.
