Peach Torte

From Dorothy McNett's recipes at

1 ready-made or freshly baked pound cake, room temperature
1/2 pound dark chocolate
1/3 cup heavy whipping cream
4-5 sliced fresh peaches, peeled if desired
zest of a lemon
several squirts of fresh lemon juice
1/4 - 1/2 cup orange juice or brandy

Slice the pound cake into 2-3 layers and set aside. In batter bowl, combine the chocolate and cream. Melt in microwave 1 minute. Stir to finish the melting, adding 30 seconds if needed. . Combine the peaches and lemon zest and juice in a bowl. Place one layer of cake on a serving platter and brush with the orange juice or brandy. Spread gently with some of the chocolate mixture, and then layer on some peach slices. Repeat until all is used. Chill about 30 minutes, slice and serve. Or, just slice and serve right now, but it may "fall apart" a bit when slicing but still tasts great!
