Chutney Appetizer or Salad

From Dorothy McNett's recipes at A great dressing, adding mild or hot chutney as desired.

1-2 apples
1-2 pears
1/2 cup walnuts
1-2 stalks celery
1/2 cup cheddar or Emmenthaler cheese, etc.
semi-coarse sea salt
freshly ground pepper
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 - 1/2 cup chutney
fresh greens to line the serving plates

Cube apples and pears, chop walnuts, slice celery, and chunk the cheese. Place in a beautiful bowl. In small bowl, whisk the salt, pepper, mayonnaise and chutney to make the dressing and stir into the salad. Using local fresh greens, arrange on serving plates. Pile on the salad and serve!
