Cocktail Meatballs for Easter dinner

From Dorothy McNett's recipes at www.dorothymcnett.com Shape these into small Easter egg shapes if desired!

1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 pound ground turkey
1-2 stalks celery, very finely chopped
1/2 onion, very finely minced
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
2 tablespoons tomato paste
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
flour to coat
paprika, sweet or smoked

for the sauce:
1/2 cup orange marmalade
1/3 cup BBQ sauce
snipped green onions and parsley
other seasonings, as desired, such as horseradish or chili

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Blend the meat and turkey with your hands or a spoon until finely minced, adding the celery, onion, bread crumbs, tomato paste, salt and pepper, and herbs. Shape into small balls or Easter eggs and roll in flour. Arrange in a baking dish, sprinkle with paprika. Bake 20 minutes, or until done. Combine orange marmalade and BBQ sauce in a glass measuring cup or bowl and heat in the microwave for about 1 - 2 minutes. Place meatballs in a serving dish and add the sauce. Sprinkle with green onions and parsley. Serve with white or red wines! The flavors act up nicely!
