Perfect to serve with salads. 2-3 large onions Peel and slice onions, and chop them up a little. Heat the oil in a large saute pan, and then add onions and cook on medium low for about 30 minutes. Sprinkle with salt and set aside. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. In batter bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Measure the oil and milk or broth and add to the dry ingredients. Blend well. Pat or roll out into a rectangle about 8 by 12 inches in a flat baking pan. Cover with the onions. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until medium brown.
